custom paint & body work
When trusting someone to perform paint work on your car, be sure they have the right experience and equipment to provide the quality you’re looking for.
A true test of the paintwork is both the initial finished product but also how the paint holds up after a few years. Matching paint based on color, type of coating/paint, single-stage or two-stage is imperative for a proper job. Our experience and paint system work seamlessly together to get it right. Both for now and for many years to come. ColorKraft is known for its quality work in the air-cooled restoration world as well as custom motorcycle parts. We’re bringing that same level of detail and excellence to collision repair.

What Our Clients say about us
Everyone at ColorKraft was thorough, knew their business, and delivered exceptional results. My car was in a small accident and I had no idea where to take it for quality work. A Subaru group on Facebook sent a loud message that I should see Ryan Lacy at ColorKraft in Columbia. Within 5 minutes at the shop, you'll know that these guys are right to fix your car. Everyone I dealt with was excellent and I was blown away how quickly they got me back at it. Dallas kept in constant contact throughout the repair, Ryan sent me a pic of the repair on Facebook, and Josh laid down a finish that is a solid match and blend with factory. The finish is a dead match and there is no discrepancy from the factory texture or color.
The most important part of this review is that I would 100% take my car back to ColorKraft if something else happened or if I wanted restorative work done. They worked with the insurance of the person who hit me, made it all painless, and advocated for me when I needed more than what the insurance company estimated and got it done.
Thank you to all at ColorKraft. - Josh B.
After my 1967 Karmann Ghia was struck by a deer that ran out into the road my first stop was to German Performance Options to see if they could recommend a body shop that had experience with classic air cooled VW’s. Fortunately for me they have a new partnership with ColorKraft as their body repair, paint, and restoration shop and put me in touch with Josh. I was able to drive out to Columbia and take a tour of their shop and see a mix of old and new VW, Porsche, Audi, and motorcycle tin in various states of paint, repair, or restoration and knew right away this was the place.
Josh and the rest of the guys at ColorKraft have some serious talent, they were able to repair the dents in the front fender and match the non-factory paint color to a degree that it’s impossible to tell there was ever any damage. During our initial meeting they walked me through everything they would be doing to bring my car back to the condition it was in before the accident and gave me an estimate detailing the work to be performed.
I was able to drop my car off here in Nashville at GPO and they delivered it to ColorKraft in Columbia and brought it back for pick up once it was finished, saving me hours of travel time. When I picked it up I learned that they had put in a little more work than estimated and added a few finishing touches in order to return the car in the best condition that they could. Even going above and beyond what was estimated, they finished the work on time and for a fair and honest price. These guys obviously take pride in the work they do and based on my experience with them I’d say it’s well deserved.
I highly recommend ColorKraft to anyone looking for a shop to do anything from minor dent repair to full body restoration. The work they did on my car and everything I saw in their shop is outstanding. I’m happy to be their first official review and if I ever need any more work done this is the only place I’ll ever take my Ghia.
